Když si chlap připadá jako bůh
Rok dva tisíce sedm měl být pro mě zlomový v mé sportovní kariéře. Věřil jsem, že úspěšně zvládnu kvalifikaci na olympijské hry v Pekingu, konající se v následujícím roce. Pro nominaci do olympijského závodu v triatlonu bylo zapotřebí, být mezi nejlepšími padesáti triatlonisty v žebříčku ITU (mezinárodní triatlonová federace). Naštěstí pro mě v redukovaném pořadí, což znamenalo, že z každého státu mohli jet nanejvýš tři závodníci. Státy jako Německo, Francie, Španělsko, Velká Británie a Austrálie zaujímaly v top padesáti závodnících téměř osmdesát procent míst. Reálně stačilo být někde kolem osmdesátého místa.
Body do kvalifikace se sbíraly na závodech dvojí úrovně. Nejvyšší úroveň dosahovaly závody světového poháru, kde byla největší konkurence, ale dalo se vyjet nejvíce bodů do olympijského žebříčku. Nižší úrovní byly kontinentální poháry s menší konkurencí. A přestože bodů bylo méně, bylo relativně jednodušší, jich dosáhnout. Získané body do žebříčku pomohly kvalifikaci na závod světového poháru.
Moje taktika na závodní sezónu dva tisíce sedm byla jasná. Na jaře závodit v kontinentálních pohárech v nějaké exotické zemi, kde bude menší konkurence. Nasbírat dost bodů pro kvalifikování na závody světové poháru a tam získal dostatek bodů do olympijského žebříčku. Vybral jsem si závody v Hondurasu, na exotickém ostrově Roatan a Dominikánskou republiku. Kupodivu jsem tento geniální nápad neměl sám. Ovšem pointou tohoto příběh není.
Cesta do Hondurasu vedla z Vídně přes Miami. Vezl jsem tašku s kolem. Takové „menší standardní zavazadlo“. Metr a půl na šířku a k tomu metr na výšku díky němuž jsem byl na letiště velmi „nenápadný“. Plus příruční kufr, vážící přes dvacet kilo, abych pobral všechny věci na tři týdny. Zaplať pánbůh, že se tenkrát příruční zavazadla nevážily.
Na letiště do Vídně jsem dorazil zhruba hodinu před odletem, abych zbytečně nečekal. U přepážky na odbavení stálo pár zbývajících lidí. Vzedmula se ve mně pýcha z pocitu, jak krásně mi to vyšlo. Prostě cestovatel mazák. Po zařazení do „fronty“ jsem zaslechl, že o něčem horlivě diskutují. Dostavil se divný pocit, že není vše v pořádku. Během chvilky mi došlo, že letadlo je přebukované. Chtěli nás poslat jiným letem druhý den, což pro mě bylo vzhledem k navazujícímu letu nemyslitelné. Už jsem na sebe tak pyšný nebyl. Okamžitě jsem se zapojil do debaty a začal vyjednávat. Popravdě spíše hádat. Vzrušená diskuse trvala několik minut, než přišel supervizor odbavovacího personálu s řešením: „Jsou volná místa v první třídě, jestli vám to nebude vadit.“ Bez špetky ironie v hlasu. Během milisekundy ze mě spadnul všechen stres z pocitu, že neodletím a začal si představovat požitky první třídy.
Po nástupu do letadla typu Jumbo jsem poprvé v životě zatočil místo doprava do „economy class“ na druhou stranu do „business“. Vychutnával jsem si ty závistivé pohledy „chudáků“ z druhé třídy, kterým muselo běžet hlavou: „Smrad jeden zazobaný, kde asi vzal peníze na první třídu. Určitě od rodičů. My se tady mačkáme a on si bude sedět v první třídě.“ Třeba jsem to bral zbytečně podle sebe. Nebo byste si v duchu říkali něco jiného? „Ať si to užije, kluk jeden úspěšný.“
První třída byla všechno, co jsem od ní očekával a k tomu bonus navíc. Přes uličku vedle mě seděla nádherná holka. Netrvalo dlouho a oslovila mě. Popravdě já bych si tenkrát netroufnul. Asi si říkala: „Mladý kluk v první třídě. Ten bude určitě v pohodě a je to „fešák“.“ Dali jsme se do řeči. Mária letěla domů do Venezuely z Říma, kde měla realitní kancelář. Hlavou mi běželo. „Evidentně úspěšnou, když letí první třídou.“ Vyprávěl jsem jí, jak letím na závody do Hondurasu kvůli olympiádě v Pekingu. Jsem vystudovaný právník, který se zatím živí sportem. Z úst mladého kluka v business třídě to muselo znít úspěšně. Možná trochu nafoukaně.
Po dvou hodinách příjemné konverzace, kdy mým největším problémem bylo koukat Márii do očí, jsme se šli projít do zadní části letadla, abychom se trochu protáhli. Jako „správný gentleman“ jsem ji nechal jít před sebou. Co kdyby náhodou letadlo významně zrychlilo, cuklo a Mária spadla dozadu. Byl bych tam, abych ji zachytil. „Přesně to byl důvod.“ Teď jsem měl opravdový problém koukat jí do očí.
Vzadu v kuchyňce letadla, jsme si dali drink (To byly zlaté časy, kdy i v druhé třídě bylo jídlo a pití zdarma.) a pokračovali v naší konverzaci. Najednou z ničeho nic přišla nabídka: „Sex na toaletě?“ Došlo mi, co se myslí horkokrevností Jihoameričanek.
V hlavě se mi spustil závod myšlenek: „To je snad sen. O tomhle se mi vždycky zdálo. Taková krásná holka. To je jak z filmu. To nemyslí vážně. Ježíši, já mám štěstí.“ A najednou mi do úvah vstoupilo svědomí: „Vždyť máš doma holku. Tohle ty neděláš. Stojí ti to za to?“ A Mária pořád čekala, co ze mě vypadne. Vysoukal jsem ze sebe odpověď ve smyslu: „Bla bla bla bla“ a ona to vzala úplně v pohodě: „Prostě jsem to zkusila, tak co.“
Skvěle jsme se bavili až do přistání. Tašku s kolem jsem vyzvedával v nadměrných zavazadlech, které byly jinde než standardní výdej, tak jsme se s Márií rozloučili. Řekli si pár hezkých frází, že nás těšilo a šli svou cestou. Okamžitě, jakmile jsem se k ní otočil zády, mi začaly běhat hlavou myšlenky, co by kdyby. „Proč jsem toho nevyužil? Proč jsem do toho nešel? Budu toho litovat? Jaké to mohlo být?“ Najednou byl ze mě hrdina, který by do toho bez váhání šel. Zasněný ve vlastní fantazii jsem vyšel před letištní halu a čekal na nástupišti číslo deset na svůj „shuttle“ do hotelu.
Vedle mě na obou stranách stáli lidé čekající na odvoz z letiště. Většina z nich znuděně pozorovala svoje okolí, zaujme-li je něco zajímavého. Jedna velká homogenní skupina. Čekali jsme, nudili se a krátili si čas pozorováním okolí. V tom se začal zleva přibližovat neuvěřitelný rámus. Bum, bum, bum, bum. Pořád hlasitěji a hlasitěji. To už všichni koukali tím směrem a čekali, co přijde.
Zpoza zatáčky vyjel růžový brouk kabriolet se staženou střechou a neuvěřitelně hlasitě hrající hudbou. Brouk zastavil, otevřely se dveře a z něho vystoupila nádherná holka. Modelka z playboye. Spadla mi čelist. Ať mi říká, kdo chce, co chce. Takováto ženská se musí líbit každému chlapovi. V tu chvíli zbystřili úplně všichni. Mužský čuměli s otevřenou pusou a ženský se „ksichtili“, co je to za lacinou „čubku“. Pozornost rozhodně měla.
Během chvilky se z letištní haly vynořila Mária. Ukázalo se, že modelka z playboye je její odvoz. V tu chvíli už tam koukali opravdu všichni. Dvě nádherné ženské uprostřed té nudy udělají své.
Nastoupily do auta a vyjely mým směrem. Hudba řve. Celé nástupiště „čumí“ a myslí si svoje. V tom si mě Mária všimla. Zastavily, lehce ztlumily rádio a Mária na mě přes všechny nástupiště zavolala: „Pojeď s námi na party, uděláš nám radost.“ Vymlouval jsem se, že mám za dva dny závody a potřebuji na hotel. Mária vystoupila. Dala mi vizitku s adresou, kam mám když tak přijet, kdybych si to rozmyslel a odjely.
Nikdo z těch lidí, co tam stáli a zírali, nevěděl, že Márii znám z letadla. Připadal jsem si jako bůh.
Jak by to asi dopadlo, kdybych na tu party šel? Mnohokrát jsem si pustil fantazii na špacír. Šli byste?
